Wabash Steel Recent Improvements
Wabash Steel, Inc
Wabash Steel management has wasted no time in making improvements to the 240,000 square foot plant that provides a quality facility for their 70+ employees to work in. The company has invested nearly $2,000,000 modifying the existing building.

  • The building boasts a new roof, siding, floors, overhead doors and lighting in many areas that had deteriorated.
  • Wabash installed a Blasteck machine and new conveyor system, which will blast steel up to 10' wide and 106' long.
  • A new Hypertherm plasma machine and table was installed which will quickly and precisely cut steel up to 12' wide and 110' long. It cuts a multitude of shapes and curved pieces too.
  • A new 165 Ton GEKA Hydracrop 165 S Hydraulic Ironworker and roller conveyors were installed to shear angles up to 8 x 8.
  • A new fully automated Peddinghaus Fabripunch 1170B CNC Detail Punch was recently installed and can punch steel up to 1 thick applying up to 170 tons in a single punch. It is accompanied by new roller ball saw-horse tables.
  • A MiJack crane was purchased for loading and unloading girders in the on-site storage yard, which has been upgraded with gravel runways.
  • Many new Lincoln welders and power supplies have been purchased.
  • One Seyko drill was purchased and 2 existing drills were upgraded with PLC controls and up to date software.
